Hi, I am an Italian national. I've lived and worked in Italy until 1987, paying into the Italian state pension system. Since then I've lived in UK and I have paid into the UK pension system. Can you please advise on how to go about transferring the Italian contributions into the UK National Insurance system? Thanks

Hi Sergio
You are unable to transfer National Insurance contributions from one country to another.
However, you can contact the pension service regarding the payment of contributions into another countries state pension system.
You can contact them on 0800 731 0175.
Lines are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Thank you
