I am on a career break. Before career break I took courses and exams paid by my employer. During career break I have taken out courses and sat professional exams directly related to the profession that I have paid for myself. I intend to go back into the profession after my break. I have taxable income during the year. Can I a) claim the costs associated with courses and exams b) how do I report them on when completing a Self Assessment? Thanks
