Split Year Treatment start date

Hi, If I came to the UK on 15th May 2023, but I have resident rental contract effective on 5th May 2023, earlier than the date I came to the UK. Will the split year start date be on 15th May or 5th May? Kind regards, Man

The split year would commence from the date you arrived in the UK.
