Hi, my family and I have arrived in the HK in August 2024. I had a job before the move in another country. I now have a job here in UK, have. Even working around 2-3 months. Do I have to fill in a self assessment form to declare the working income I received before I came to UK? I have already been taxed in my home country. Also, I received my pension early (before I entered UK), should I declare this money in a self assessment form also? If we do, I think we have just kissed the deadline, what shall we do? Very lost and don’t understand the HK tax system at all. Thanks

Hi
Use this tool to find out if you need to send a tax return for the 2023 to 2024 tax year (6 April 2023 to 5 April 2024) Link here:

I already tried thanks but still wasn’t sure because the warnings were from work in another couple try which I have already paid tax for and it was before I immigrated to UK- so I wasn’t sure. The pension I received was also money I received a few weeks before I came to UK
