emergency tax code after SA submitted

Hi I was on an emergency tax code . I wasn’t aware as don’t really read letter from hmrc . Anyway I have submitted my tax return online today . Will they now update my old X code with correct one . Been employed solely by one employedr for over 10 years so not sure why I’m on emergency code

Depending on what is declared on your Self Assessment then your tax code would be reviewed and updated.
