Hi, UK resident received overseas royalty as an author (of educational course). These royalties were paid on his foreign bank account and foreign tax was paid on that income. Does this person need to claim as self employed? Or it should be reported as Misc income? Thanks in advance.

Hi IrinaPimenovaUK,
It would be other earned income and you also need to show it in the foreign section in order to claim the Foreign Tax Credit Relief.

Thank you.
