Hi, I have been working as a freelancer earning foreign income since July 2023, I have not pay any foreign tax for the income and I need to pay UK tax as I live and complete the jobs in the UK. I don't own any company and I have not hired any employee, i.e. I work on individual projects and received income in foreign currency (HKD). I am a bit confused in choosing whether I should fill in the self-employment part or the foreign income part (meanwhile I only filled in the foreign income part) please kindly advise.

Hi,
If no foreign tax has been deducted, you only need to complete the self employment page. The income must be converted to sterling.
Thank you.
