Hi, I have submitted my self-assessment by post in October2023 and not received any confirmation or feedback till now. However, I received an email from HMRC in last week, the title is "Your tax return is due", which mentioning that i have not submitted my self-assessment yet and I have to complete the assessment via online method. When I login HMRC self-assessment preform, it shown "Submitted Return" and unable to go to next step. Therefore, I would like to confirm if i have submitted my self-assessment successfully and how to check accordingly? Or if i have to submit it again via online perform and how to continue my application under the status - "Submitted Return"?

There may have been some overlap in our requesting the return, and the paper return you sent being logged on your Self Assessment record.
Please contact us by webchat or phone here so we can confirm if we've now received your return.
