Self Assessment/Sole Trader

Hi All, I work a full-time job for an employer and PAYE. I've recently been earning some extra income via a website that allows users to subscribe to my services (Online Content Creation). It looks like it will generate over £1k a year. I know this means I will need to register for self-assessment, but do I need to register as a sole trader as well? Thank you
