Request removal from Self Assessment Status

Hi there! Does anyone have any experience with requesting removal from the Self Assessment? I submitted a form but am still waiting to hear back. The status shows "received", but I'm curious if there is a "declined" or "accepted" status. Would be good to know as I believe I've been incorrectly asked to fill in the Self Assessment in the first place, as I don't fit the criteria to the best of my knowledge.
