I am a foreigner, now tax-resident in the UK. So, I am registering for SA (Form SA1). - I began to receive income as a director of a UK company in July 2023. - I have been receiving foreign income & dividends from a HK company since 2013. - (I have no other worldwide sources of income.) My prior tax residency was Canada. I have now ended that tax residency. I have not declared to Canada's tax authority any income I earned after April 6, 2023, in anticipation of declaring that income to UK tax authority instead. I read the questions on Form SA1 to mean that, when it comes to listing the "Dates from" for sources of income on the form, I should enter the date April 6, 2023. (i.e., the date from which these sources of income became "taxable" in the UK). Is that reading correct? Many thanks for the clarification 🙏

Hi CanuckInLondon TaxAccounting,
As you have not stated the date you came to the UK it would be the date the UK income started.
Thank you.
