Non Resident not able to open online Tax account

Hi Sir/ Madam, I am a non UK resident, I would like to open an online tax account to check about my own tax report on my propoerty tax, self assessment submission status , etc. However, I found myself not being able to open an online account as I could not verify the ID part in the verification process in the Gateway since my passport is not UK passport. Is there a way for non resident to open an online tax account in HMRC?
