How can I update register for self-assessment

Hi administrator, I just uploaded register for self-assessment on line. However I forgot to apply split year treatment, can I simply submit SA109 when file tax return on line? Or do I need to update the registration? if so, how can it be done? All the best YF

Hi,

You cannot file online if you are submitting the residence page SA109 using HMRC software. You will need to file the whole return in paper form or buy 3rd party software.

Whatever option you choose, the whole return must be submitted together.
