I arrived in the UK on October 4, 2021 initially, and spent 184 days in the country during the year of assessment 2021/22. As I don't have too much knowledge in UK Tax Law while first arrival, so that I didn't submit the self assessment for year 2021/22. However, I did a tax return for year 2022/23 through online submission. And now, how can I submit my missing 2021/22 self assessment. I didn't find it under section in 'More details about your Self Assessment returns and payments' select the 'more self assessment details' link and then 'Tax return options' Thank you.

Hi,
If you have not been issued with a notice to file for the 2021 to 2022 tax year then there will not be an option to complete online.
If you meet the criteria for Self Assessment for 2021 to 2022 then you will need to register and your record will be updated to allow you to file online:
Register for Self Assessment if you are not self-employed
Thank you

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I got my UTR when I submitted 2022/23 self-assessment, do I need to click "Register for Self Assessment if you are not self-employed" to obtain 2021/22 self-assessment online. Thank you.

Hi,
Yes that is correct if you meet the criteria for Self Assessment.
Thank you.
