I have recently started a new self employed job which involves collecting and delivering vehicles around the UK. My question is: which expenses are claimable for this kind of job? I need to delivery vehicles hundreds of miles away and need to come back home by train/bus. Are travel expenses claimable? What about food if I am eating around?

Hi,
You can claim the travel expenses but you cannot claim the cost of food as you would need to have this whether traveling or not.  if the food relates to overnight business trips, you can claim for the evening meal:
Expenses if you're self-employed
Thank you.
