I have realised that my broker account with Interactive Brokers is paying interest in Ireland and withholding Irish tax at 20%. I believe this means that I need to declare the interest as foreign income (I already need to fill that section due to dividends), include the amount of tax whitheld. I am unsure about how to claim a tax credit. Can I just select a 20% being equal the the tax of withholding tax? I could not find information about how to select this %

Hi,

In the foreign section for dividends of SA106 and the online equivalent, there is a box for withheld tax under column 'D'.

Foreign (2023)

Foreign notes (2022-23)

Thank you.
