Hi HMRC, My employer has decided to close the office that I work from on Fridays and mandated that I work from home. Can I claim the £6 per week working from home allowance for those weeks that i have to work at home? If so is the amount reduced because it is only for one day a week? Thank you

Hi
You can make the claim for the £6 per week even if you only work at home for part of the week.

Can I ask a similar one. My employer provides accommodation on site for my team but only for half at any one time. The requirement is that if all desks are booked then you have to work from home. None of the staff want to work from home but are being required to. Does this enable the worker to claim the Working From Home allowance for the weeks when they work from home?

Hello, I need to claim for working from home (my employer does not have an office). I am doing a personal tax return, but I can't see where to enter the figure. It doesn't seem to show expenses as it does in a self assessment tax return.
