I am trying to fill out a self assessment. There is a section to add company cars. My previous jobs provided company cars (which they leased) but I paid BIK tax via PAYE in my wages. Do I need to add to the self assessment? My summary is way off, suggesting I owe a lot more than I should I think adding the company cars is the reason.

Hi WayneW,
If your BIK was payrolled, and you paid the tax owed via your PAYE wages, you would not need to enter your company car on your Self Assessment return.
Thank you.

Hi ,

In the Employment section, when you see details for the employer who provided the company car, select Yes when asked

"Have you received any taxable benefits and expense payments from (employer)?"

This should then allow you to enter the details from your P11D.

Thank you .
