Filed my first SA 2023 paper to HMRC Late. received late letter stating penalties 2 months later. I only receive rental income on property in UK. I have moved since the paper filing to a new foreign address. How can I update address and stop receiving penalty notices since I have already filed SA?

Hi ,

If you have a personal tax account you can amend your address online see:

Personal tax account: sign in or set up  .

If unable to update online you will need contact HMRC to update see :

Self Assessment: general enquiries  .

If you have submitted your tax return you can appeal the penalties :

Appeal a Self Assessment penalty for late filing or late payment  .

Thank you .
