Tax owed

I've just submitted a return, and was told I would need to make a payment. However, I had overpaid previously but I'm not sure by how much and thought I'd probably have to pay more. How quickly should the Current Position get updated to include whatever I owe? (Or when can I relax and be sure that I've settled any tax owed?) It's not obvious to me that the amount I owe has been included in the Current Position page. Thank you.
