Hi, I was UK based (Scotland) until August 2023 where I went to work in New Zealand for a few months. I then travelled until the end of the tax year so didn’t earn from Feb to April 2024. I’m filling in my self assessment and it keeps saying I’m due a larger refund of tax when I’m not so sure - can someone check these figures as it should be straightforward but I’m not sure why it keeps saying this. UK income £39500 (April - July 2023) UK income tax paid £9800 NZ income £41100 (August 23 - Jan 24) NZ income tax paid £9100 (So total income £80600, total tax £18900) I believe my total liability is around 16800, with UK only liability 5500. Surely this would put my FTCR at 9100 (NZ tax paid) and leave me due a ~£2k rebate? Does that sound reasonable? When I go to see my summary it says I’m owed £9500 which just can’t be right
