Hello, I received a cheque from your services but I no longer live in the UK so I can't deposit it. Would it be possible to send it back to you by post and have a bank transfer instead? Thank you

Hi,

If the refund was from a P800 calculation, we can't cancel the cheque and send it by another method .

Thank you.

That might answer my question but I don't know. Was my refund the result of P800 calculation? I suspect not. My refund was a double tax thing. I'm resident in France and was taxed at source on a personal pension drawdown last year. I've now got my refund, a cheque. That's not the most convenient option for me. Is it possible for it to be paid by bank transfer into my sterling UK high street account?

Hi taxed_in_france2,
You would need to contact HMRC to review this for you:
Income Tax: general enquiries
Thank you.
