Hi. I am filling in my return for 23/24. I lived in the UK at that time. In THIS tax year, I now live abroad (moved middle of April 2024). When I enter my address as part of my 23/24 return, do I need to enter the UK address I lived in during the 23/24 tax period or do I need to put my current address abroad? The system has automatically filled in my new address (presumably from when I declared to HMRC that I have left the UK). Any advice greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hi,
You would enter your current address, we should have a start date for this abroad address on your record, so it should not adversely affect your 2023 to 2024 calculation. If you do notice any issues with your 2023 to 2024 calculation, though, you will need to contact our Self Assessment team.

Thank you.

Great - thanks so much for your help! I will keep the address that is in there (which is the current, abroad one). Thanks!
