Please bear with me I'm a bit confused. When I did the tax return January 2023 I paid my 2022/2023 tax bill ahead in January and July of 2023. I have now just finished my tax return due January 2024 and in the calculation is exactly the same amount again for 2022/2023 as well as half of the 2023/2024 tax bill. Do I just pay the First payment on account for 2023/2024. ie surely I'm not expected to pay again the same amount for 2022/2023? It states in the calculation "Total amount due for 2022/2023" is it simply stating for that year I'm due to pay (and owe no more) than what I had already paid?

Hi EmmaHelp,
The tax calculation does not take into account any tax paid direct by you as this is on your statement.
Once you summit your return allow a couple fo days for the system to update and then view yor statement.
This will show any payments due to be paid by 31/1/24.
Thank you.
