Hi Team, I've just amended prior year's self assessment few days ago, which I should need to make additional tax payment to HMRC (after deduction of marriage allowance transfer in, which was refunded by HMRC previously). Should I wait for HMRC's finalized calculation on the revised self assessment before making the tax payment? Thanks, Danny

Hi,

You should be able to pay the amended amount due as soon as this updated amount is present on your online Personal Tax Account, or when you receive confirmation of the amended calcualtion in the post. If you would like us to confirm the progress of your amendment, contact us by webchat or phone via:

Thank you.

Hi, I've received the confirmation of the amended calculation, however the calculation seems to be incorrect (I've received the refund of marriage allowance last year). So now I should pay the underpayment, can you please advise if I should pay the amount based on my calculation? Or what should I do?
