Hello, I am non-resident in UK ( employed and tax resident and living in Ireland) but remain a British citizen and British passport holder. I still have some income arising in UK from tow sources : 1) interest on UK building society accounts and 2) rental income from one tenanted property. I complete an annual self-assessment form as required by HMRC. Due to higher interest rates in 2023-2024 , for the first time my combined (savings and property) UK earned income will , exceed the £12,570 personal allowance. Total UK income will be approximately £16,500. My question is , as a non-resident, may I also claim Starting Rate for Savings Allowance (£5000) and/or Personal Savings Allowance (£1000) as well as the £12,570 personal allowance ? Thanks.
