I have few questions which making me confusing, what I earned from 10 dec 2022 to 10 Jan 2023 are taxed in my original country. 1/ I arrived UK on 10 Dec 2022, and earn oversea income until 10 Jan 2023. Which day I start to declare for the tax? 2/ which period income I should take for the split year? from 10 dec 2022 to 10 jan 2023? 3/ do I need to include the income I earn from 01 Aug 2022 to 10 Dec 2022 for tax?

Hi,

HMRC cannot advise on whether you are UK tax resident for the year or not. You will need to use the Statutory residence test to determine this on your own personal circumstances.

Guidance can be found here:

RDR3 Statutory Residence Test
