I've sent my tax return in December, same as I did the past few years, logged in today (2 weeks after completing return) to make payment and it is showing as nothing to pay. Is there a delay in processing or have I done something wrong?!

Hi
If submitted by paper you are looking at february for this to be processed. to guarantee a calculation in time for January, your return would need to be submitted by 31/10/23.

I completed the tax return online. When I log in is tells me there is nothing to pay, although the return I submitted says I have a payment to make, so what should I do?

Hi Sarah Khan,
You may already have paid the amount due via your Payments on Account.
These are payments made in advance of you filing your return.
Please contact us by webchat or phone here:
Self Assessment: general enquiries
We can confirm if any amount remains due.
Thank you.
