Self assesment

If I'm a director of a Ltd company and just starting out, if I earn less than £1000 do I need to fill out self assesment? I'm not drawing wages at present. Is the companies income counted as My earnings for self assessment.?

Being a director is not Self Assessment criteria so a tax return return is not required just for that.
