Hi there, I have several antique swords which I purchased from the UK and imported to my home country which is a British Overseas Territory and I am a UK passport holder. I wish to bring the swords back into the UK to have them valued and possibly sold. Do I have to declare them on entry at the airport or what is the best way to manage this? Thanks!! Peter

Hi,
You must tell customs about (‘declare’) goods:
  • if you go over your personal allowances for Great Britain for Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) or for Northern Ireland
  • that are banned or restricted
  • that you plan to sell or use in a business
Please see below links for more information.

Thank you.
