Hello, I moved to the UK on 21 August 2024 for work and started my job on 2 September 2024. I plan to stay in the UK for more than 183 days in the current tax year (2024/25). As of today (29 September 2024), I understand that I do not yet qualify as a UK tax resident, but I expect to meet the 183-day residency requirement later in the tax year. Am I eligible to open an ISA now, or do I need to wait until I qualify as a UK tax resident? Any guidance would be appreciated! Thank you.

Hi,

Please have a look at the guidance at:

Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs)

and contact your ISA provider for more information.

Thank you.
