I am the executor of my late mother’s estate. As you only get 6 months to pay inheritance tax in full it would suggest that lots of estates incur interest on their bill as it normally takes longer that 6 months to gain probate and sell a property as it did with us . If interest is calculated at a daily rate of 7.7% after 6 months on any outstanding bill owed , how do you get a confirmed final bill generated when you are ready to pay and do you get a Grace period to pay that final bill.
