Hello I have received the migration letter confirming my transfer from working tax credits to universal credit. The letter mentions that if I do not re-apply the credits will cease on December 6. However I plan on retiring later this year so if I make my retirement date December 6 does this mean I do not need to do anything - the credits will cease and I am retired....... Many thanks

Hi,
If you retire on 6th December then we will end your Tax Credit claim on 6th December.
If you decide to end employment prior to 6th December then you would need to tell us so we can end your Tax Credit.
If you decide not to retire on 6th December and you are still working then we would advise you to contact Universal Credit for advice.
Thank you.
