For a husband and wife who get working tax credits under a joint claim, can you change who receives the Class 3 NI credits? The husband has already got (from previous employments) the full qualifying years worth of NI contributions, so the husband can get a full state pension. However, the wife has some gaps in their NI contribution so the wife currently would not get the full state pension.

Hi,

On joint claims for Tax Credits the payment goes to the person you have decided should receive the payment, they are the main claimant and in turn receive the credits.
If you wish to discuss this you will need to contact the Tax Credits team.
