Hi, I previously ordered a paper form SA101 for filing my tax return for tax year 2023/2024, but I would now use a commercial software supplier to file my self assessment. May I confirm if I need to inform HMRC (and if so, how and when) so as not to cause misunderstanding of late filing as the deadline for paper filing would be due by 31 Oct 2024. Many thanks!

Hi,
No, if you have not submitted the paper tax return and now want to file online using third party commercial software, then you can do this without contacting HMRC.
