Can you receive back pay for child benefit?

I had opted out of receiving child benefit due to the high income threshold. This year my earnings are not on track to go over the threshold and have applied to receive it again for this current tax year 24/25. Will I receive payments from the beginning of April 24 or from the time I have applied from please?
