I got my migration notice last week for the move to UC, my deadline to claim date is not until the end of November and I have not claimed yet as I am waiting on a hospital appointment that could affect the claim (obviously if it’s not come through soon I will just claim before November) Anyway, my tax credit payment usually hits my bank account every 4th Wednesday, however it has not gone in yet today. Is there a problem with payments? I’m worried that if it doesn’t go in I am going to seriously struggle. Do payments stop once you receive the notice to migrate to UC, because from what I can tell via the info online, my payments will only stop once the deadline date has passed if I have not made a claim for UC? I will try to call up in the morning but I know how hard it is to get through.

Hi,
In general, the Tax Credit payments would not cease until after the migration date even if they have not claimed Universal Credit.
If the payment has still not been received you will need to conatct our Tax Credit team for advice.

Thank you.
