I have completed my tax return for 23/24 but haven't yet submitted it. The amount of student loan payment due to be paid on my self assessment income was approximately £900. The outstanding balance of my student loan is currently only £800. I am paying by direct debit (no longer through PAYE) as there is only a small balance left. By the time I pay my self assessment - January 2025 - I will only have about £100 left of my student loan to pay which i will pay via the direct debit I've set up. How do I deal with the student loan in my tax return? Do I include it but not pay the £800 via self assessment or do I state there is no student loan to pay? Many thanks
