have you got an email address to contact government gateway service , because i am locked out of my government gateway account & it has my old phone number listed to send the verification code to, i cannot update it without logging in & in order to do that it sends a verification code to my old phone number. 2 of the contact forms online are both offline & when i contacted hmrc they said they could not help even though hmrc comes up number 1 on google for "contact government gateway" i need my old phone number changing to my current phone number, or the verification method changed to email.

i have already done that multiple times, i tried it again today, it eventually leads to a page that asks for proof of identity, such as a passport or driving licence, i do not have a passport & when i previously put my driving licence in it had expired 2 years ago & so it would not accept it, the rest of the options do not apply because i am on universal credit, i have asked the DWP for help multiple times but they said it has got nothing to do with them & could not help.
