I have lifetime allowance enhanced protection. It is active and I can check the Scheme Administrator Reference and the Protection Notification Number, which check out on-line as valid. But I do not have the physical certificate, nor does the on-line information I am able to access through the Government Gateway disclose the protected lump sum. Search as I may, I cannot find out how to obtain a copy of enhanced protection certificate with the complete information which I can provide to my pension provider to confirm the amounts. I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to obtain a full copy of my enhanced protection certificate. Thank you.

Thank you, but this does not answer my question. How do I obtain a copy of my protection certificate, which contains the amount of the protected lump sum amount? Thank you.

Hi,
In the guidance below, you can search for your reference number online or write to:
HMRC,
Pension Scheme Services,

Check your pension scheme member’s protected allowances
Thank you.

Thank you. I had found that link, but it does not provide details of the protected Lump Sum Allowance amount. The information it provides is: Scheme Administrator Reference: xxxxxxxxxxx Protection Notification Number: yyyyyyyy Protection Type: Enhanced protection Status: This protection is valid Checked on: zzzzzz at zzzzzz The information that the Enhanced protection is valid is of little help if it does not refer to the protected Lump Sum Amount, if it exceeds the standard Lifetime Allowance. Is there no way of checking/proving online the protected Lump Sum Amount as originally stated in my certificate? My SIPP provider tells me it cannot accept the above information as sufficient evidence of the protected lump sum amount (that is, the Lump Sum Allowance, which in my case exceeds the standard Lump Sum Allowance following the removal of the Lifetime Allowance from 6th April 2024). I will if necessary write to Pension Scheme Services (and thank you for the address), but if this can be done online it would save both them and me time dealing with this. Thank you.
