I run a mobile bar company. We've been supplying and installing dispense equipment for a few festivals this season, a couple of which we have also supplied kegs to (literally half a dozen kegs). Should we have an AWRS number for this, or does the fact our suppliers are registered cover us? We don't store any alcohol, it is a case that our suppliers deliver to us, then we load up and take it to our customer. Technically it's a B2B sale, but do we need AWRS for such a small quantity?

Hi,
You need to apply for approval from the Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme if all the following apply:
- your business sells, or arranges the sale of alcohol, and has an establishment in the UK
- your sales are made at, or after, the point where excise duty is due
_ any sales to other businesses are made for onward sale or supply
More information can be found here: When you need to apply.
Thank you.
