paid tax with wrong tax account

I paid the tax with the payment reference number of 31 DEC 2024 to current year. However, I should pay the tax with the payment reference number of 31 DEC 2023 to current. So, the account of 31 DEC 2024 account is debit now. HRMC said I didn' settle down the payment.
