Our last vat repayment was approved on 19 August and the money has not never gone into the company's account. We first tried to call the HMRC customer service and were told few times that they would send notices/urge the bank account team to work on it, because it seems that the payment did not go through. We waited over 30 days and called again. This time we were told there was a block on our account and the customer service advisor could send the payment again. After 5 working days we still did not receive any repayment, we called again and was told there's another block on our account due to the fact that some bank accounts were hacked. However, we have not received any notifications for any bank account verifications. Every time we call, the customer service has kept telling us that they would forward the case to the responsible team so someone could contact us. So far, we have not yet received any contacts from the so-called responsible team. So is anyone else having the same problems that the vat repayment has been approved and yet no repayment has been received?

Hi cathy624 Chiu,
I'm sorry to hear you are having problems receiving your repayment.
It does sound like there is an issue with the bank details so please could you contact our Helpline again on 03002003700 so that we can open up your account and investigate the source of this problem in order to resolve as quickly as possible.
Thank you.

No, our bank details are ok as we received repayments before and we verified thousand times with your customer service staff (though they have tended to give us different excuses as why the repayment has not been made). Anyways, finally someone contacted us saying our account needed to to be reviewed after we filed a complaint. It's past the 30 working days and we will make a request for a compensation.
