I have met VAT threshold but am getting confusing advice about medical exemption. I see assess and diagnosis and treat my patients. I am a auntomous practitioner that sees on the day unplanned care for various settings providing medical services within my profession. Any advice would be appreciated

Hi,

You will not need to be VAT registered if the service you provide falls under the following guidance:

Health professionals and pharmaceutical products (VAT Notice 701/57)

Thank you.
