Trying to register a new business for VAT. Upon completing the form and pressing submit keep getting an error ' Sorry This service is unavailable'. Have sent multiple emails to the online services help desk whom keep replying with a generic message. Have also tried to clear cookies/cache /browser. Please can someone advice what is going wrong. There are no known service issues. Thank you

Hi,
I am sorry you are having issues with registering for VAT online.
I would report the issue via the 'get help with this page link' at the bottom of the screen if you have not already done so.
If this does not resolve the issue then can you contact the Helpline to see if we can issue a paper VAT 1 for you to complete:
VAT: general enquiries.
