VAT on mobile phone repairs

Is VAT chargeable on mobile phone repairs in the UK. I have a client who repairs mobile phones and sells mobile phones. He is approaching the VAT threshold and we are keen to establish if he would be charging VAT on mobile phone repairs once he registers for VAT. thanks, Muhammad Zameer

The repair of mobile phones in the UK would be a Vatable supply and so if the supply of this servives breaches the Registration threshold of £85k then a VAT Registration would be required.
