Hi, I need your help with understanding VAT for online and overseas sales. We have an online shop and we are selling around the world. My doubts after reading various information about VAT result from the fact that I do not physically have the products that are being sold. In a nutshell - products sold to the UK are manufactured in the UK and shipped from here, those sold, for example, in the USA, are manufactured and shipped from the USA. Due to this, do I only charge VAT for products sold and manufactured in the UK? Thank you

Hi,

That would be correct. If you are making a supply of goods and these goods are manufactured in the USA and sold overseas then these sales would be Outside The Scope of UK VAT as the goods are never physically in the UK.

Thank you.
