VAT business name change

Hi there, I am having issues with EBay as my business name is different from my uk VAT business name I have changed my UK VAT business name through the HMRC online service to match my eBay account name, however the UK VAT checker service is still showing the old business name. I understand the VAT checker service is what eBay uses to match names. Is it possible to get the VAT checker name changed or do I need to apply for a new uk bay number to match my eBay business name FYI I tried to change my eBay account business name to match the tax details but believe it or not that is even more challenging to do for various reasons. Please check on your online VAT account that the make has been changed you will be able to see this on your VAT certificate, the name on here should match the VAT checker if there are any problems please contact the helpline 0300 200 3700.
