Sole trader - multiple businesses

I am carrying out more than one business. My trade classification is for my principal business. My other businesses are low turnover non-core activities that are not covered by the trade classification code on my Vat Registration Certificate. Do I need to notify HMRC about those other business activities, or does it not matter that they are not covered in my trade class code?

The trade classification code you would have provided would have been for your main business activity. If you are carrying out more than one business under your sole trader VAT number then we would recommend informing us of these activities. You can do this by completing a VAT 484:
