I’ve set up a company and website for an e-commerce dropshipping store. I’m based in the UK and intend to sell only to UK customers, but the supplier is in Europe, so when products are bought they will be delivered from Europe, into the UK. Do I need to apply for VAT now? Or can I wait until I have a sales turnover of £85k? Also, how do I go about the customs situation? Do I work out what the customs will be for each item, from the supplier country and add it onto the total price so the customer pays at checkout? Or does the supplier pay for customs? Grateful for any advice!

Hi,

I would advise contacting the Customs and International trade helpline if you have any other issues with your query.
